The New York/New Jersey MetroStars have a long and storied history in the MLS Founded in 1996, the team was one of the original ten franchises that made up MLS’ inaugural season. Since then, they have consistently been competitive in americas top league, however in 06/07 they rebranded and are now known as the New York Red Bulls.
