Cleaning

Keeping Your Kits As GOOD As New

If your kit gets dirty you have two paths to go about getting it cleaned; Either hand washing, or machine washing on a delicate cycle.

Although the majority of shirts can be safely washed in the machine on a gentle cycle, you have the option of handwashing for those particularly delicate or rare shirts where you don’t want to leave anything to chance. Any shirts that may have particularly fragile sponsors should also be considered for a hand wash.

If you are machine washing it's important to make sure each vintage item is turned inside out, along with separating any clashing colors.

Make sure you adjust the wash machine settings to a cold, light spin, delicate cycle. You may add a normal amount of tide, whilst avoiding any fabric softener.

Stains are a collectors’ worst nightmare (especially if you support Spurs or Real Madrid). Thankfully you do have options. There are a wide range of special washing products that include shout sprays and powders that can be applied directly onto the stain. You may let this soak on the stain for about 30 minutes before throwing it into the wash or bath.

Once washed, make sure to air dry your vintage item. It's important to avoid the drying machine at all costs, as dryer could potentially cause some discoloration or damage to the shirts decals. Being said, we advise you to dry your kits naturally.
